EasyWallpapers hosts files uploaded by its users. We do not review every upload before it appears, and we act on credible copyright complaints promptly.

Reporting infringement

The fastest route is the Reportbutton on the wallpaper itself, choosing “Copyright infringement”. That puts it straight into the moderation queue.

For a formal notice, email copyright@easywallpapers.net including all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
2. Identification of the work you say has been infringed.
3. The URL of each wallpaper on this site you are asking to have removed.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Complete notices are normally actioned within one business day. Sending a notice in bad faith, over material you do not own or a use that is clearly permitted, can make you liable for damages.

Counter-notice

If your upload was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district.

We may restore the material 10–14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notice, unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material are terminated. This is not discretionary; it is a condition of the safe-harbour protection that lets a site like this exist.

Designated agent

EasyWallpapers has designated the following agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement, registered with the United States Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2):
