Privacy Policy

This is a template written for this site’s specific setup. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have a solicitor check it before you rely on it, particularly the liability and copyright sections.

The short version: you can browse and download without an account and without being tracked. If you make an account, we store the minimum needed to run it.

What we collect

If you don’t have an account

  • Downloads. When you download a wallpaper we record which one, when, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We store the hash, never the address itself. That is enough to spot one client downloading ten thousand files, and not enough to identify you.
  • Page analytics. Aggregate, cookie-free page counts. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, no fingerprinting.

If you have an account

  • Your email address, for sign-in and password resets.
  • Your username, and anything else you choose to put on your profile.
  • Wallpapers you upload, along with their technical metadata. Location data embedded in photographs (EXIF GPS) is stripped before publication, including from the original file people download.
  • Your likes and follows.

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address, name and profile picture. It does not tell us anything else, and we do not gain access to your Google account.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We don’t email you anything you didn’t ask for.

The only cookies set are the ones that keep you signed in and remember your light/dark preference. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Who processes data for us

  • Supabase for the database and accounts.
  • Cloudflare for file storage and delivery.
  • Vercel for hosting the site.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Download records are kept for 24 months for abuse prevention and statistics, then deleted.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete everything. Email privacy@easywallpapers.net from your registered address and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, uploads, likes and follows.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we hold data from a child under 13, we delete it.

Changes

Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.
